N.O.T.W

Name of the week on 01/04/13 is:

Piper

An all time fave of mine..

I feel it stands out as a strong, sharp and bold name!!

this name would be a strong contender in the future if myself and the mr are to have more children..

background Info for the name:
Transferred use of the surname of English and Scandinavian origin which is derived from the Old English pípere (piper, one who plays the pipe) and the Old Norse pípari (piper, one who plays the pipe)

Virtue Puritan & Abstract Concepts

The Puritans of the 16th and 17th centuries used many virtue names which have fallen out of use. Many names such as Joy, Hope and Faith are still used today, and the idea of using virtues as names remains as people coin modern words for names (i.e., Serenity, Chastity [surprisingly wasn’t used by the Puritans], Heavenly etc.)

Ok so the name of the week is:

dah;iana

One of the rarer flower names, used occasionally in britain where it’s pronounced DAY-lee-a- Although I would pronounce it DAH-Lia As the other way doesn’t sound right to me. Anyway the name Dahlia is getting more visible, and so Dahliana feels more plausible. Although i like both Dahlia & Dahliana.. I wouldn’t want the ‘ana’ as a nickname… . Oh the choices.. :)
